Please support our Kayak Run which will take place on the 14th July 2012 from Cheekpoint to Waterford.

WCRR were requested by South Tipperary Civil Defence to assist with a canoe race on the River Suir to Waterford on the 5th May.   Safety boats were provided by WCRR and South Tipperary Civil Defence  and the Race was concluded successfully at 20.40 hours.    

At 18.58  hours on the 3rd May , WCRR was tasked by Waterford Gardai to assist at an incident at Rice Bridge , Waterford.   The incident was dealth with successfully and the Unit was stood down by the Gardai at 19.17 hours and returned to base.

WCRR were tasked on the 29th April at 12.58 to assist a Yacht which had broken its moorings and gone aground at the Island on the River Suir.   The WCRR crew established a towing line to the disabled vessel and successfully removed it from danger and remoored it at a safe location.   WCRR Unit was

At .018 am on the 28th April , WCRR was tasked by An Garda Siochana to assist with  a search of the River Suir in the vicinity of Rice Bridge , Waterford.   The incident was dealth with successfully and the Unit was stood down by MRCC Irish  Coast Guard at 1.40am and returned to base.

WCRR was tasked to search for a speedboat with engine failure at the Island area of the river Suir at 20.17 on 15th April.   Unit was launched and on scene at 20.37 and carried out a detailed search of area and were stood down by MRCC ( Irish Coast Guard ) and returned to

At 9.59am on Sunday the 25th March 2012 , WCRR was tasked by An Garda Siochana to assist in a search of St Johns River.  The  WCRR  crew on call responded and carried out a detailed search which was concluded sucessfully at 11.50am.    

At 4.01am on 18th March 2012, WCRR was tasked by An Garda Siochana to assist in a search on the River Suir in Waterford.  After a detailed search the Unit was stood down by (MRCC) Irish Coast Guard at 5.35am.      

At 19.59 on 15th March ,WCRR was tasked by An Garda Siochana to assist at an incident at Rice Bridge , Waterford.   The incident was dealt with succesfully by WCRR , An Garda Siochana, The Fire Service and HSE Ambulance service.  

Congratulations to our six members who sucessfully completed the intensive D Class course from 9th to 11th March provided by Irish Water Safety with Irish Coast Guard support.
